Stella Rosa Multisport Team

The mission of Stella Rosa Team Management is to create a professional team of athletes to redefine and promote the multisport lifestyle through various avenues accessing the superior multisport demographic. We aim to present our multisport athletes as top level professional athletes who have a specific sport focus yet also excel at various other formats of endurance racing. In short we aim to change the image of the multisport athlete, promote the multisport lifestyle, and compete on the highest level in pursuit of the most prestigious victories.
In the past multisport athletes have been seen in the “tri-geek” ideal of athletes who race a single sport made up of multiple events (i.e. Triathlon, Duathlon, Adventure racing) while often possessing an obsessive and frankly un-fun mentality toward their sport. Sponsors within the athletic industry have had a hard time identifying with the multisport athlete and the entire realm of multisport has often presented itself as unapproachable. However, this idea has changed dramatically with multisport’s massive growth (In 2007 USA Triathlon licensed over 100,000 athletes, with an additional quarter million plus athletes purchasing single event licenses). Multisport athletes are the most educated, most financially stable, and most open minded of any athletic demographic. They participate in these multiple sports in order to test their physical limits, interact socially, and have fun. Stella Rosa Team Management is creating a team targeting this new attitude of the multisport athlete and the rapidly growing demographic that is the multisport lifestyle.
The Stella Rosa multisport team will compete in all forms of triathlon, mountain biking, and cyclocross on the highest levels while also participating in various other competitions such as running, open water swimming, road cycling, Nordic skiing, snow shoeing, and so on. In short, the Stella Rosa athlete will strive to be the best in the world in their focused discipline but will live the multisport lifestyle by using multiple sports to further develop their skills to become even better at their event focus. This is something all multisport athletes do, even though most don’t realize they are doing it.
The Stella Rosa multisport team will race nationally and internationally focusing on Triathlon, Mountain biking, and Cyclocross and will be based out of Colorado and Connecticut. The team will be a non-profit 501c3 organization and will focus on pursuing financial sponsors related to the Eco friendly/Energy conservation business.

What We Do
XTERRA
- XTERRA is the fastest growing sector of Triathlon. Consisting of a 1500m swim, 30K MTB, and a 10k Trail Run XTERRA is a new challenge to many athletes and attracts Triathletes, Cyclist, Mountain Bikers, and Trail Runners. The XTERRA America Series Consists of 5 Pro series races and the XTERRA World Championship. All races are televised in hour long shows with the World Championship airing on NBC just prior to the Super Bowl on Super Bowl Sunday. XTERRA has enjoyed massive growth over its eleven year existence and currently offers more than 50 national events, and close to 100 international events.

NORBA National Series
- The NORBA National Series represents North America's premier off-road cycling competitions. Held in venues around the country, the series attracts top-level competitors from around the world.
ITU World Cup
- The ITU World Cup of Triathlon represents the Olympic format of Triathlon. Unlike all other road triathlon formats the ITU format is draft legal on the bike. This creates a very fast paced, spectator friendly, and tactical event. The ITU World Cup consists of 16 events in 16 different countries. The ITU format also covers ITU Continental Cups, more than 50 events around the world used as a stepping stone to the World Cup. The ITU World Cup is featured on hour long television shows nationally and internationally as well as offering streaming coverage online. The ITU format is also very spectator friendly with over 50,000 spectators regularly attending World Cup events. There were over 300,000 spectators on hand for the 2007 ITU World Championship in Hamburg, Germany.

70.3 Triathlon Series
- 70.3 is the distance in mile of a half Ironman triathlon. Over the past three years 70.3 has redefined long course triathlon. While the full Ironman distance is often the ultimate goal for many triathletes the 70.3 distance represents a realistic challenge and stepping stone to the full Ironman. For the professional athletes 70.3 is an intense and dynamic event producing the head to head racing which is often had to find in long course triathlon. The 70.3 series consists of 30 events in 16 countries. The 70.3 series is featured on ten hour long event programs shown on the VS network as well as being streamed live online.

US Grand Prix of Cyclocross
- Cyclocross is a Fall/Winter event navigating mud, sand, pavement, grass, gravel, pasture, and mulch. When the terrain is too steep to ride or they are confronted by a standard set of wooden barriers, riders dismount, shoulder their bikes and run. Regulations suggest a lap be comprised of 90% riding and 10% running. Of the 270+ sanctioned cyclocross races in North America in 2006 (29 of which were sanctioned by the UCI), the six races which comprised the USGP staged the deepest, strongest, and fastest cyclocross fields in a series format on this side of the Atlantic.

Mountain States Cup
- The Mountain States Cup is the country’s most competitive regional mountain bike series. Located in CO, NM, and UT the Mountain States Cup features many of the top national and international pros racing on both the UCI World Cup and NORBA series.

Lifetime Fitness Triathlon Series
- Boasting a multi-million dollar prize purse the Lifetime Fitness Triathlon Series represents the pinnacle of non-drafting Triathlon. The LTF series consists of Olympic distance (1500m Swim, 40k bike, 10k run) triathlons located in major US cities: Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Dallas and Minneapolis. In addition to the richest purse in Triathlon and prime race locations the LTF series is run in conjunction with an amateur series and draws hundreds of thousands of spectators and age-group athletes. The LTF series will offer at least three hours of TV exposure as well as live streaming online coverage.

What We Offer
In addition to racing fast and aiming for victory in every competition, the Stella Rosa Multisport Team will also represent our sponsors in the following ways:
• Massive race presence with a team vehicle, kiosks, sponsored gear displays and schwag giveaways, team athlete availability for introductions and questions, team hosted on-site clinics and pre-race suggestions (such as tire choice, suspension set-up, gear selection, etc).
• We will host several major training camps for athletes competing in XTERRA Triathlons. While Triathlon training camps have become quite prevalent we will be the only organization hosting XTERRA specific camps.
• We are in the process of acquiring a Bio-Diesel converted RV which we plan to use as our team vehicle and race base. This will be fueled by biodiesel and cooking grease (the McDonalds fueled vehicles you have probably heard of) and powered by rooftop solar panels. In short this vehicle will be a rolling expo and bill board of all our sponsors, and a hub of activity, schwag, and excitement at all our race venues (something triathlon has not truly seen).
• Online webpage and blog from our and our sponsors homepages
• Virally distributed videos throughout the season of races, camps, training, and team life posted on our website, our sponsors websites (if desired), YouTube, MySpace, face book, and any other avenue of exposure available. This is done with the goal of putting together a DVD of our season which we will find a strong following within our various sports.
• Team camps open to both the public and our coached athletes
• Team hosted rides and training sessions in Colorado and Connecticut.
• Team athletes required to train in sponsored kits throughout the season.
• Lastly, driven by our unique platform our team will aggressively pursue any and all forms of media recognition via magazine, TV, local newspapers and TV, and internet rather than simply letting the press come to us.
